GEDLICH Racing has announced the all-new Nova Winter Series, designed for teams competing with the popular and potent Nova NP02 prototype.
Three endurance races will take place for the impressive French sportscar, starting with a two-hour race at Portimão’s Autodromo Internacional do Algarve from 16-18 January. Owing to the popularity of the Portuguese venue, Portimão will once again host the Nova Winter Series on 6-7 February. For the second visit, teams will compete in a three-hour race.
The inaugural Nova Winter Series will conclude in Spain, with a two-hour race at Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo on 13-14 February. At all events, teams will benefit from at least 90 minutes of additional track time across qualifying and practice sessions.

The introduction of the Nova Winter Series comes in response to a growing number of teams running the Nova NP02. Many outfits have expressed the desire for a platform to race their cars during the winter, in the weather safety offered by Southern Europe’s impressive range of racing venues.
GEDLICH Racing has set out to appeal to established endurance racing competitors and newcomers alike, with a set of regulations designed to provide both a thrilling competitive platform and a learning tool.
Line-ups of two, three or four drivers are welcome, inclusive of FIA Bronze, Silver and Gold-rated drivers. Entries will be split into classes based on driver line-up classifications.
During each race, there will be a minimum amount of time teams have to spend in the pitlane, creating a safe, non-competitive and relaxed approach to pitstops. Additionally, refuelling is performed in a petrol station at the end of pitlane, negating the need for advanced fueling rigs and reducing costs. Per-event entry fees are priced at €4000, ensuring maximum value for participants.
