Huber Racing to compete in GT Winter Series
The Porsche Carrera Cup Germany champion Huber Racing will compete in the GT Winter Series in the 2022/2023 season.
Huber Racing from Neuburg am Inn is one of the most successful teams in Porsche one-make series racing. Together with Laurin Heinrich, Christoph Huber’s team won the title in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany in 2022 and also decided the team classification in the prestigious championship in its favour. In addition, the Bavarian racing team won the title in the Open GT Class 40 of the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse with Johannes Kapfinger. The team also celebrated victories in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in 2022.
Together with Johannes Kapfinger, the team is now entering the GT Winter Series. The young talent will drive a 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup for Huber Racing. The combination will compete in the Cup 2 class. Kapfinger will compete in all six events.
Perfect school
The racing team is using the GT Winter Series to give Johannes Kapfinger his first racing experience in the current Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. For the 19-year-old youngster, the races in Gedlich Racing’s popular winter series will be the next step towards the German Porsche Carrera Cup, which is one of the driver’s goals.
