Famed sportscar outfit and Gedlich Racing paddock regulars Konrad Motorsport will return to the Prototype Winter Series in 2025.

The German-based team, run by sportscar racing legend Franz Konrad, will look to replicate its 2024 winter successes. In the inaugural Prototype Winter Series season, the Ligier team secured the drivers’ championship with Danny Soufi. The partnership between the American talent and Konrad has been ongoing since 2022, and continued into the summer of 2024, where Soufi and Torsten Kratz secured the runners-up spot in Prototype Cup Germany.

Soufi is confirmed to be back in PTWS with the familiar Ligier JSP320.

Konrad Motorsport’s history – spanning almost 50 years – covers every corner of the globe and sportscar racing of every type. For much of this time, Franz Konrad has been a driver as well as a team boss, picking up fabulous accolades at every major endurance race. One can never rule out Franz picking up the helmet: the 73-year-old Austrian won a race in the P9 Challenge as recently as 2023.

The confirmed return of Danny Soufi and Konrad Motorsport presents an intriguing storyline for the 2025 Prototype Winter Series, as the 21-year-old looks to defend his title. As with the 2024 season, you will be able to follow every moment of the 2025 Gedlich Racing Winter Series package live on our YouTube channel.

RAFA Racing by Race Lab will be a full-season participant in the GT4 Winter Series, entering a McLaren Artura GT4 for Callum Davies and Charlie Hart.

The team, run in the UK alongside Houston-based RAFA Racing Club, is one of the strongest GT teams established in recent years. In 2023, Race Lab secured vice champion status in the British GT Pro-AM class.

Callum Davies, 18, has had a brief yet successful tenure in GT racing. During 2023, he took six GTH class wins from eight starts in GT Cup UK, and was vice champion in the Ginetta GT Championship. For 2024, Davies moved up to the GT4 class of the British GT Championship with Race Lab, scoring a podium at the final round of the season.

Charlie Hart, 16, will be making his first outings behind the wheel of a GT4 car in the GT4 Winter Series. Elite Motorsport has announced its return to the GT4 Winter Series, once again fielding a McLaren Artura GT4.

As with last year, Elite’s effort will focus on one car, this time driven by McKenzy Cresswell and Josh Rattican. Cresswell will be making his first steps into GT4 racing, after two race-winning seasons with Elite Motorsport in the GB3 Championship. The 18-year-old began racing cars in 2021, scoring six victories and third in the championship in his inaugural British F4 campaign.

Rattican also has a long-standing relationship with Elite. After finishing as the runner-up in the 2020 Ginetta Junior Championship, the young Brit joined Elite for the 2021 Ginetta GT4 Supercup, once again finishing second in the standings. He made his GT4 European Series debut with the team in 2023, before clinching the Silver drivers’ title in 2024 alongside GT4 Winter Series race winner Tom Lebbon. Additionally, Elite took home the teams championship, wrapping up a highly successful year.

Alongside its GT4 European Series campaign, the team secured four wins and third in the points during the 2024 GT4 Winter Series. Race victories and additional 2024 successes for Elite Motorsport came in GB3, GB4 and Ginetta single-make racing.

2025 is set to be the busiest season yet for Elite Motorsport, as the team steps into GT3 competition for the first time with a Ferrari 296 GT3. However, as the British team’s campaign starts early from the 16-19 January at Circuito Estoril, the team’s immediate focus will be on the intense battles of the GT4 Winter Series.

Revered British endurance racing team MJC has announced its entry into the GEDLICH Racing 6H Portimão.

Team MJC is spearheaded by MJC Ltd owner Witt Gamski. The team has been a prominent fixture in British endurance racing for two decades, and has made occasional trips further afield over its history. The team will bring Gamski’s second-generation Bentley Continental GT3 to the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, with driving duties shared between the car owner and Ross Wylie.

Witt Gamski and MJC have won three Britcar Endurance titles, in 2009, 2010 and 2017, in addition to an overall victory at the Britcar 24hr race in 2010. 2024 marked Gamski’s return to racing after a six-year hiatus, competing in Britcar and select additional UK events.

Ross Wylie is no stranger to sharing a car with Gamski. He was part of the Britcar title-winning MJC line-up in 2017, and dutifully returned to co-driving with Gamski in 2024. Wylie’s extensive CV in GT racing includes a British GT4 title win in 2014, and two GT Cup UK title honours: a 2021 class championship and 2023’s overall championship. He has also been a regular contender in British GT and Porsche Carrera Cup GB in recent years.

MJC and its drivers arrive with a proven history of excelling in endurance racing, and will be contending for a strong result at the first-ever GEDLICH Racing 6H Portimão.

GT4 Winter Series race winners W&S Motorsport will be back on the grid in 2025, this time mounting a full-season two-car assault.

The two entries, both utilising Porsche 718 Cayman RS CS GT4 models, will be split across the PRO and PRO-AM classes. The PRO car will be spearheaded by Alon Gabbay, who took a PRO-AM class win during the 2024 GT4 European Series with W&S. He will be partnered with German karting graduate Maximilian Schreyer.

Meanwhile, the PRO-AM entry features American racer Tim Horrell and Germany’s Nico Gründel. Horrell’s racing career began well after a road accident at the age of 21, in which he sustained significant injuries and had to re-adjust to life as a paraplegic. He embarked upon a new challenge in motorsport, scoring podiums in GT4 America and taking class victories in Trans-AM, before shifting focus to Europe.

Horrell has spent the last two seasons racing with W&S Motorsport in GTC Race, and has scored podiums with a car specially adapted by team partners Paravan.

Nico Gründel completed his first season of racing in GTC Race with W&S in a Porsche GT4, and was immediately on the pace among the strong GT4 class of the German category. For both drivers, the fiercely competitive international grid of the GT4 Winter Series will be a big test.

W&S Motorsport secured a victory at the Jerez round of the 2024 GT4 Winter Series, alongside multiple additional podiums during a partial campaign. This would prove to be just the beginning for the team, whose 2024 record would boast no fewer than 12 championship victories, including numerous GT4 accolades.

W&S took a clean sweep of all four championships available in ADAC GT4 Germany, becoming the first team to achieve this feat. The Ofterdingen-based squad secured both the teams’ and drivers titles in the GT4 European Series PRO-AM category, while further GT4 title glories were achieved in the NLS Cup 3 class, Porsche Sports Cup Germany and the GT4 Trophy class of GTC Race.

After a tremendous 2024, W&S Motorsport will look to continue this form in the 2025 GT4 Winter Series.

With numerous highly-successful GT4 teams on the grid, the 2025 GT4 Winter Series promises to be thrilling and immensely competitive. Make sure to watch every moment of the action live, and subscribe to the Winter Series YouTube channel to make sure you never miss a second!

FK Performance will once again cameo in the 2025 GT4 Winter Series, entering a BMW M4 GT4 for the second round of the season at Portimão.

During the 2024 season, the German team entered the same event to kick-off its year, and will once again compete at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve later this month. The driver line-up consists of South African racer Joseph Ellerine, who competed with FK Performance in the 2024 ADAC GT4 Germany, and Finnish racer Benjamin Sylvestersson. The latter driver, aged 17, made one-off appearances in GT4 Germany and the GT4 European Series during 2024. His primary campaign came in XGT4 Italy, where he secured vice champion status in a Promodrive BMW M4 GT4.

Orange Racing by JMH Automotive will bring a McLaren 720S GT3 to the final leg of the 2025 GT Winter Series.

At Aragon and Barcelona, Simon Orange and Marcus Clutton will compete in the GT Winter Series for the first time. The team and it’s driver line-up have a vast record of success in British and International GT racing.

Orange, who started racing in 2016, began his career in Mazda MX-5 competition. He moved up to the GTA class of GT Cup UK in 2020, at the wheel of a Ginetta G55. He won the title at his first attempt, and would go on to win the GTH class in 2021 with a McLaren 570S GT4. During the 2021 season, he also secured the overall GT Cup Championship title.

2022 saw Orange switch to GT3 with a McLaren 720S. He won the overall championship in GT Cup once again, in addition to the GT3 class. Since then, Orange and JMH Automotive have extended their partnership to full campaigns in British GT, as well as appearances in the Asian Le Mans Series.

Marcus Clutton has been a recognised talent in British motorsport for over 15 years. In 2011, he won the British GT Championship’s GT4 class, and his primary 2024 campaign in the top class of the British Endurance Championship yielded championship glory. In the years between those two successes, Clutton has been victorious in sportscar and GT competition across the UK and Europe.

This experienced driver pairing, along with the well-respected JMH Automotive team, will be an exciting addition to the GT Winter Series paddock. As a Bronze/Gold combination, the team will compete in the GT3 class.

The 2025 GT Winter Series will begin at the Circuito Estoril on 16-19 January. Spectator entry will be free, and all of the action will be streamed live on the Winter Series YouTube channel!

One of Germany’s leading GT teams, SSR Performance, has confirmed its entry into the Portimão round of the 2025 GT Winter Series.

SSR Performance leaves 2024 with its biggest accolades to date as a team, securing the DTM Drivers’ championship with Mirko Bortolotti, as well as winning a race at the Norisring with Nicki Thiim.

The SSR team has now confirmed an early start to the 2025 season, as it will enter a Porsche 992 GT3 R for talented youngster Keanu Al Azhari. The 17-year-old from the United Arab Emirates has already made a mark on the GEDLICH Racing paddock, securing a race victory during a partial 2024 Formula Winter Series campaign.

During the summer of 2024, Al Azhari took the runner-up spot in the Spanish F4 Championship, and also secured multiple race victories in the Prototype Cup Germany. His seat in the latter series, with Mühlner Motorsport, was secured ahead of the final 2024 GEDLICH Racing Winter Series weekend during a shootout contest in Barcelona.

The combination of SSR Performance and Keanu Al Azhari promises to be an extremely competitive addition to the ranks of GT3 Pro, a new class of the GT Winter Series reserved for driver line-ups graded Silver or above.

As with all 2025 GT Winter Series events, round two at Portimão will be broadcast live on YouTube. The second round of the season will be held from 23-26 January.
